Stef’s Kitchen Creations ~ Homemade Granola Bars

 

Some parents are dreading back to school, others are jumping for joy! Whatever category you fall in, it is drawing near whether you are ready or not! Try this delicious and easy granola bar recipe to send in lunch bags rather than the boxed ones on the shelves. Who doesn’t grab those while grocery shopping at one point or another!? In just a few minutes you can customize this 5 ingredient recipe, cut and freeze individually to grab as needed. I’ve tried many recipes and this by far is the best one yet.

INGREDIENTS:

6 cups rolled oats
2 cups raisins
2 cups chocolate chips
2 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup margarine, melted

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 325. Grease 10 x 15 baking sheet or use parchment paper. Combo all ingredients and mix well. Place on baking sheet and press down evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool on wire rack for 15 minutes and cut into bars. Makes approx. 36 bars.

TIPS: My oven takes 30 minutes. Substitute chocolate chips/raisins for other ingredients such as chopped almonds, nuts, sunflower seeds, etc.
