Daisy Table Vignette

One of my favorite things about August is

my yellow daisies!

I eagerly await their sunny blossoms, every year.

A few years ago, I did a summery outdoor tablescape with them.

This year I happened to have an empty dining room table when I brought in the first bouquet.

So I decided to pull together a summery vignette as a centrepiece.

I have a funny story about the blue stemware.

Many years ago, hubby and I were in Mexico.  One day we walked to the “mall”

a little ways from our resort.  I saw the blue stemware and LOVED them.

The lady that owned the shop packed up several for me very well in a box.

She tied rope around the box and fashioned it into a handle on top

for me hubby to carry back to the resort.  He willingly carried it through

the airport and onto the plane for our flight home.

Not long after we were home, I was at the Mall.  I popped into a store

called, “South of the Border”.  Guess what!!  Yup!

Two things I love to collect.

Enamelware, and assorted silver cutlery.

Enjoy these summer days!

I can’t believe school starts three weeks from today!

Has school started in your area yet?

Holly - Beautiful Tanya. Did you find any cutlery or enamelware in Maine?

Tanya - Yes! I got several pieces of cutlery, including the 2 spoons in the picture. They were so different…a little ladle and a little “shovel”. Mom has a piece of enamelware that we found tucked away for my birthday! 😉
