My lilac bush is about 6 years old.
Last year it was beautiful.
Lots of gorgeous fragrant blooms.
Two. Little. Blossoms.
Even the ants can’t figure out what’s going on. 😉
I asked on my Facebook page this week if anyone else had the same problem.
The majority of people are finding the same thing.
I think our cold Spring had an effect. I read online that late frosts
can kill the blossom buds. I also read that in “grandfather’s day”
the ashes from the wood stove were sprinkled around the
drip line of the bush to encourage bigger blooms.
I’m going to try that for next year.
Anyone else have any tips for me?
