May long weekend = first camping trip of the season for many families, including ours. What better time to prepare some outdoor style treats! This simple cake recipe can be prepared in a short time and will be a great dessert for you to have on hand this summer. Not a camper? Bring this out to picnics, your patio or when sitting around your backyard firepit.
1 package chocolate cake mix
1 package chocolate instant pudding and pie filling mix
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups mini marshmallows
3 milk chocolate bars OR 2 cup of chocolate chips
4 whole graham crackers, crumbled into 1/2″ pieces
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 13 x 9″ baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Combine cake mix, pudding mix and milk in large bowl; beat 1 to 2 minutes or until well blended. Spread batter in pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean and remove cake from oven. Turn oven to broil. Sprinkle marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers over cake and return to oven. Broil 30 seconds to 1 minute or until marshmallows are golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning. Cool at least 5 minutes before serving.
