Even with Easter being later on the calendar this year,
I found it arriving before I was ready.
– no tablescape ready
– Easter shopping unfinished
– The final decision as to whether I was having a family meal
didn’t happen until 2 days before!
But I decided not to stress too much about it,
and it eventually all came together.
It always does, doesn’t it.
Here are some of the highlights.
I took a fruit pizza dessert to Easter Dinner at my moms on Good Friday.
I followed this recipe, but gave myself permission to use
a sugar cookie mix instead of a shortbread bottom.
Remember “I decided not to stress too much”?
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy and
put too much pressure on ourselves.
The Easter table was quickly set on Saturday. The day before everyone came for brunch after church.
I’ve been picking up purple stemware at the thrift store this year. So far, I have
4 of the smaller ones, and 2 of the bigger ones.
I’d like to have 4-6 more, so I will keep my eye opened. I love to mix and match.
Life is short…eat dessert first!! 😉
Pansies and pussy willows…a quick and easy centerpiece.
Easter Monday was a beautiful warm Spring day. We headed down to the Annapolis Valley
and opened up the trailer. It’s almost time to turn over the vegetable garden plot and begin
another growing season. But for now we took out the Razor and went for a drive.
I took my snippers hoping to find some pussy willows.
