Lamp Makeover

Sometimes it is so hard to see beyond what is right in front of us.  Last year, when Zellers was closing, I took a walk through to have one final look at the things they had marked down.  I saw these lamps and immediately thought, “gee they are ugly”.  But the more I looked them over, the more I realized I was just reacting to their colour.   Who wants “bird poop green” lamps.  The colour looks better in this picture than it truly was.  As I admired the wire shape the “spray painting side of my brain” took over and started to rationalize they were worth it.

They were 50% off the sale ticket price.

So I took out a can of my favourite spray paint colour – Rustoleum Heirloom White.  I just bought a 6 pack!  No, I’m not even kidding…

Two good coats of spray paint and a lovely burlap shade from Home Sense.  Take THAT bird poop green…that’ll fix ya!
