Christmas Carols…Part 3

This next song, well… it gets to me, in a good way, quite honestly.
While I’m not a mother – and can’t relate to all the thoughts/dreams/feelings that moms have for their kiddies – I am an aunt, and find it easy to transfer some of those thoughts/dreams/feelings into my relationship with each niece and nephew.
What ever we believe a child will grow up to become, no one could have been ready for Mary’s dawning realization of what her Son’s life would be… past and present and future. Amazing.

Mary Did You Know

Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

Oh Mary did you know

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you’re holding is the great I am.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Sing it over as many times as you need until you truly want to become new, here and now. Because you can.
