December Tabletop

It seems that no matter what semblance of disarray my house is in, if the living room mantel and dining room table look nice, then I am much happier.  The past couple weeks have been busy ones.  I have been involved in special shopping days at our Halifax Seaport Farmers Market, doing tablescaping workshops.  So besides all the boxes of Christmas decorations that are sitting around, I also have big baskets of tablescaping supplies that I take in to the Market on those special days!  Can you picture it?  You really don’t want to.

Recently I celebrated my birthday, and my dear friend, Holly, arrived at my door with this gorgeous vintage sled!!  I died!!!  No really…I did!!!  I picked up this beautiful bundle of berries while I was at the Farmers Market and popped them into a tarnished silver pitcher.  As  I was showing my daughter what I did with the sled, she picked up this reproduction antique tin bucket and set it on the sled.  It looked so cute we left it there.

So I breathed a sigh of relief.  The mantel is almost done as well.  I will show you soon!  :)

Holly - Looks great Tanya! Hope you take some pictures of your tablescape ideas from the Market. Hope things slow down for you so you can enjoy your family and home this month. Holly

Margo - Tanya, if you could see my very bare dining table right now….you are inspiring me to do something about it! A simple yet beautiful arrangement. So lovely!
