It’s not Thanksgiving, but. . .

I’m trying to live in an attitude of thanks these days.
That isn’t always easy for me. How about you?

You see, it has been raining for weeks now. Weeks. Ummm. . . W e e k s.

It has been raining for weeks, but my community hasn’t been eaten up by fire.
And, I’m thankful.

It has been raining for weeks, but my home and/or livelihood has not been ruined by flood waters.
And, I’m thankful.

It has been raining for weeks, but I’m not searching through piles of rubble for missing family members.
And, I’m so thankful.

It’s been raining for weeks now.
My heart goes out to the people of Slave Lake, AB, to the people in Manitoba and Quebec, and to the people of Joplin, Missouri.

You too?

Lisa

Lynn@ The Vintage Nest - touching post Lisa. :) We had so much rain this past Spring that Bobby G. has been cutting the grass a couple of times a week and we have major pruning to do as some bushes seem to grow overnight. But I am not complaining. Everything is so Spring green and beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend. I am so glad you stopped by. xo

Brambleberry Cottage - I truly believe that THAT should be on the lips (and hearts) of all believers – thankfulness! If there is one thing that seems to be sorely lacking today, it’s an attitude of thanksgiving. Thank you for the reminder, Lisa/Tanya!

And thanks for visiting my cottage and for your sweet comments.

Hopefully, Google will get the followers gadget back up and I can come back to follow along. 😉

Have a blessed holiday weekend!

Pattie @ Olla-Podrida - We were victims of the Good Friday tornado that hit St. Louis. We finally started the clean up this week beginning with the removal of the 11 100-year-old trees we lost. The emotion I felt in seeing these chopped up and hauled away surprised me. I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like for people who have lost everything.
